The PPCL600 and PPCL700 have the optional configuration to automatically enable the laser upon power up. The MCB register (saved to permanent memory) is used for that. Please see our separate post on the MCB register.
For the PPCL700 there is an additional feature to automatically switch to the whispermode, once the device has stabilized in the whispermode. This is also set in the MCB register.
The power level and the frequency at which the laser activates can be set in the standard registers (FCF, PWR) and saved into non-volatile memory (please see separate post on that topic ).
